The Association of European Radios (AER) is a Europe-wide trade body representing the interests of over 4,500 private/commercial radio stations across the EU28 and in Switzerland.

We are looking for an Association Coordinator to run our office in Brussels. Working closely with the AER President, the Secretary General and the Members of the Board, the Coordinator will support activities and services for the Members of the association.

Professional requirements

– Minimum 2 years experience with a trade-association or NGO
– Interest in association management as a professional career
– Proven track record in coordinating activities, events and programmes for an association
– Experience of cooperating with other like-minded organisations
– Insight into media and communication issues preferably with a focus on EU audiovisual / media and DG CNECT policies
– Experience of analysing policy initiatives and writing position and briefing papers
– Knowledge of the structure and functioning of the European Institutions
– Administrative and financial skills

Personal requirements

– MA degree or equivalent
– Oral and written fluency in English and French, other languages an advantage
– Excellent oral and written communication skills
– Good strategic and conceptual capacities
– Creative and resourceful problem solving abilities
– Good organisational skills
– Sense of responsibility and capacity to work autonomously
– Fully IT literate. Insight into website management a plus
