The Association of Bulgarian Broadcasters (ABBRO) is an organisation representing TV and Radio operators in Bulgaria. It is the most representative and highly influential media organisation as it includes broadcasters of all means of distribution – national free-to-air broadcasters, cable and satellite broadcasters, biggest national and regional radio networks and number of local players.
The Spanish Association of Commercial Broadcasting (AERC) was founded forty years ago and represents almost 100% of the 1,150 commercially financed and privately owned radio stations in Spain.
The Independent Broadcasters of Ireland (IBI) was
formed in 1989 following the Independent Radio and Television Act 1988 which
paved the way for Ireland’s independent broadcasting sector. It was founded to
champion the sector and to promote diversity and quality of broadcasting to
Ireland's radio listeners. Its membership consists of 34 national, regional,
multicity and local independent radio stations licensed under the Broadcasting
Act.
RadioCentre formed in July 2006 from the merger of the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and the Commercial Radio Companies Association (CRCA). Its members consist of the overwhelming majority of UK Commercial Radio stations who fund the organisation.
RADIOERNE – Organisation for local commercial radio & TV - formed in august 2005 is the only organisation in Denmark representing commercial radio. Its members consist of the overwhelming majority of local commercial radio stations in Denmark.
SIRTI was created in 1981, in the advent of “free radios” in France. Today, SIRTI brings together 130 private radios – local, regional or thematic – and 10 private cable and satellite television channels.
The Association of Private Broadcasters in Austria (VÖP) was founded in 1993. VÖP represents all major private TV and Radio Broadcasters in the Austrian market, counting approximately 50 members.
The VPRT was founded in 1990 after the merger of two associations with parallel objectives: the BPRT (Federal Association of Private Broadcasters and Telecommunication) and the BKS (Association of Cable and Satellite).
