On October 9th, 2007, Viviane Reding, Commissioner for Information Society and Media held a speech at a conference on content online organised by the Portuguese Presidency.

The Telecommunication and Energy Council comments the WRC-07 Communication – 07/10/07

On October 1st, 2007, the Transport, Telecommunication and Energy Council met in Luxemburg to discuss the EU’s position in the World Radiocommunications Conference (WRC-07) held in Geneva October 22nd to November 16th, 2007.

AdVantage platform launch, “advertising in our society” – 03/10/07

On October 3rd, 2007, AER attended the AdVantage platform’s launch. The platform has been created to facilitate debate about the role and responsibilities of advertising in our society and its relation to EU policy-making. Piia-Noora Kauppi, Othmar Karas and Holger Krahmer, all Members of the European Parliament were there to welcome the launch of the platform. Also Rik de Nolf, CEO of Roularta Media Group, and Miguel Veiga-Pestana Vice-President Global External Affairs, Unilever, were there to talk about the importance of advertising in connection to economic growth.
