AER Secretary General to attend “Le Radio!” Conference in Paris

AER is pleased to announce that it will be represented by Secretary General, Frederik Stucki at the forthcoming “Le Radio!” event in Paris. Le Radio, which is now in its fifth year, has become a key event for the commercial radio industry, as it provides a unique opportunity to get all the major players in the European radio industry together under one roof to discuss the main issues affecting the sector.

This year’s event will also be boosted by the participation of DR, the Association for Digital Radio, and the “Groupement pour la Radio Numérique”/Digital Radio Grouping. This year’s event aims to address three major themes:

  • The issues facing the different media (written press, radio, television, mobile operators, Internet, cable, satellite) and their evolution in the context of the new communication technologies.
  • The questions raised by local radio and newcomers faced with digital radio, at a time where there is a great deal of uncertainty over switchover
  • The Net Day, which will focus on podcasting, web radio and streaming.

Mr Stucki will be present on a panel of experts addressing some of the problems associated with radio’s progress toward digitisation. The panel is set to meet on the 13th of February, during the afternoon session of the conference’s third day, dedicated to interoperability.

Le Radio 2007 will take place on the 11th to 14th of February at Hall 5 of Paris-Expo.
