Asociación Española de Radiodifusión Comercial (Spain)
The Spanish Association of Commercial Broadcasting (AERC) was founded forty years ago and represents almost 100% of the 1,150 commercially financed and privately owned radio stations in Spain.

Its target is the defence of their common interests and criteria, nationally and internationally.

AERC deals with the most important issues concerning broadcasting in Spain, such as the detection and report of illegal stations, the negotiation of Copyrights and NeighbouringRights, the coexistence between Public and private radio stations, the banning of the advertising of legally commercialised goods and services, the Technical Plans, the relations with the 17 "Comunidades Autonomas", or regional authorities.

AERC also keeps a watch on the market's regulations and conditions, dealing with issues such as concentration, pluralism and transparency in radio ownership, and is in charge of the relations with the Spanish Telecommunications authorities, as well as the international relations of Spanish broadcasters. Besides, AERC is also involved in the promotion and the implementation of new radio technologies, such as DAB.

AERC is a member of both the Association of European Radios (AER) and the International Association of Broadcasting (AIB-IAB).
