The conflict in Ukraine has put journalists and media workers on the front line, as they seek to monitor and report back to their newsrooms on what is happening on the ground.
AER believes that free and independent reporting from radio and other media outlets is an essential service at this time, providing trusted and accurate information on a difficult and fast-moving situation. Therefore it is vital that the freedom and security of journalists and news teams is prioritised so that they can continue to safely practice their job and deliver reliable, accurate and unbiased news worldwide.
